Ferro Titanium
Ferro Titanium (FeTi) is a ferroalloy composed of titanium (Ti) and iron (Fe). It is primarily used as a deoxidizer, grain refiner, and alloying agent in steelmaking, enhancing strength, corrosion resistance, and weldability.
Chemical Composition:
✅ Titanium (Ti): 30-75% (varies by grade)
✅ Aluminium (Al): ≤ 8%
✅ Carbon (C): ≤ 0.1%
✅ Silicon (Si): ≤ 4%
✅ Sulfur (S): ≤ 0.03%
✅ Phosphorus (P): ≤ 0.05%
✅ Iron (Fe): Balance
Key Features:
✅ Powerful Deoxidizer & Desulfurizer: Removes oxygen and sulfur from molten steel.
✅ Improves Strength & Corrosion Resistance: Essential for high-strength and stainless steels.
✅ Prevents Grain Growth: Enhances weldability and durability in steel structures.
✅ Available in Various Sizes: Typically 10-50mm lumps, granules, or powder form.
Applications:
✅ Steel Industry: Used in stainless steel, high-strength low-alloy (HSLA) steels, and tool steels.
✅ Foundry & Casting: Improves cast iron quality and prevents defects.
✅ Aerospace & Automotive: Enhances performance in high-temperature and corrosion-resistant alloys.
✅ Welding Industry: Used in welding electrodes and coatings.
