Graphitized Petroleum Coke (GPC)
What is GPC?
GPC is a high-purity carbon material obtained by graphitizing petroleum coke at high temperatures (~2800°C). It is widely used in the steel, foundry, and battery industries.
Properties:
✅ Carbon Content: 98.5% - 99.9%
✅ Sulfur Content: Low (< 0.05%)
✅ Volatile Matter: Low
✅ High Thermal Conductivity & Electrical Conductivity
✅ Low Ash & Impurities
Applications:
✅ Used as a recarburizer in steel and foundry industries.
✅ Used in lithium-ion battery anodes.
✅ Used in high-performance carbon products (graphite electrodes).
