High carbon ferro manganese ( Chips / Lumps )
High Carbon Ferro Manganese (HC FeMn) is a ferroalloy composed of manganese
(Mn), iron (Fe), and high carbon (C). It is widely used in the steelmaking
and foundry industries as a deoxidizer, desulfurizer, and alloying element
to improve the strength, hardness, and wear resistance of steel.
Chemical Composition:
✅ Manganese (Mn): 65-80% (varies by grade)
✅ Carbon (C): 6-8%
✅ Silicon (Si): 1.5-2.5%
✅ Sulfur (S): ≤ 0.03%
✅ Phosphorus (P): ≤ 0.2%
✅ Iron (Fe): Balance
Key Features:
✅ Enhances Strength & Hardness: Used in the production of wear-resistant
steel.
✅ Powerful Deoxidizer & Desulfurizer: Removes oxygen and sulfur
impurities from molten steel.
✅ Cost-Effective Alloying Agent: Provides an economical source of
manganese in steelmaking.
✅ Available in Various Sizes: Supplied as lumps, granules, or powder.
Applications:
✅ Steel Industry: Used in carbon steel, alloy steel, and stainless steel
production.
✅ Foundry & Casting Industry: Improves machinability and casting
quality.
✅ Welding Electrode Manufacturing: Enhances weldability and performance
of electrodes.
✅ Abrasive & Wear-Resistant Materials: Used in high-manganese steels for
mining and construction applications.
