Low carbon ferro manganese
Low Carbon Ferro Manganese (LC FeMn) is a ferroalloy composed of manganese
(Mn) and iron (Fe) with a low carbon content. It is widely used as a
deoxidizer, desulfurizer, and alloying agent in steelmaking, particularly in
the production of low-carbon and high-strength steels.
Chemical Composition:
✅ Manganese (Mn): 75-85%
✅ Carbon (C): ≤ 0.1% (varies by grade)
✅ Silicon (Si): 1-2%
✅ Sulfur (S): ≤ 0.03%
✅ Phosphorus (P): ≤ 0.2%
✅ Iron (Fe): Balance
Key Features:
✅ Low Carbon Content: Ideal for producing low-carbon steels.
✅ Powerful Deoxidizer & Desulfurizer: Improves steel purity and reduces
impurities.
✅ Enhances Strength & Toughness: Increases wear resistance and
mechanical properties.
✅ Available in Various Sizes: Supplied as lumps, granules, or powder.
Applications:
✅ Steel Industry: Used in high-strength low-alloy (HSLA) steels and
special steel production.
✅ Stainless Steel Manufacturing: Prevents excessive carbon addition in
stainless steel grades.
✅ Foundry & Casting Industry: Improves casting quality and
machinability.
✅ Electrode Production: Used in welding electrodes to enhance
performance.
